Focus

A Norfolk, Virginia native, Dr. Jay Samuels is passionate about oral systematic health. That means his focus is on the whole patient, not just their smile. He always seeks to help his patients understand their care and options so they can collaborate with him on the most suitable solutions. As a lifelong learner, he’s also dedicated to continuing education as he stays ahead of the curve with the latest technology and techniques in dentistry.

Education

Graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore
Earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery 
Completed his General Practice Residency at Miami Veterans’ Hospital Center 
Licensed to practice in Maryland, Washington, D.C, and Florida

Outside the Office 

Dr. Samuels loves spending time with his family and enjoys tennis, hockey, music, and traveling. Serving people is his purpose. He is a mentor with the Holocaust Survivor Program and a member of their softball team. As a mentor for the University of Maryland football team, he is an advocate for custom-fitted sports mouth guards to maximize protection. He has served in clinics in the Dominican Republic, volunteers yearly for the Maryland Mission of Mercy, and donates his time to treat members of the Alpha Omega-Henry Schein Holocaust Survivors Program and special needs patients in Montgomery County.
